We are taught in “Pirkey Avot” (Lessons of the Fathers) that if there is no bread, there can be no Torah, and if there is no Torah, there can be no bread. The Synagogue and you are interdependent. Jewish community will cease to exist in Red Bank without the presence of Congregation Beth Shalom, and a life devoid of Judiasm and connection to our traditions is indeed a poor life.
The Jewish community in Red Bank cannot exist without your help.
Donations may be made in honor of loved ones, life cycle events, miracles, and just for the sake of a “mitzvah.”
One way to celebrate an occasion with the community is to sponsor a Shabbat Kiddush. A nice Kiddush fulfills the mitzvah of “Kavod Shabbat” (honoring the Sabbath), which is a great mitzvah and one of the Ten Commandments.
To sponsor a Kiddush, contact Rabbi Dovid Harrison.
Have your whole family’s names inscribed on the eternal Tree of Life at Congregation Beth Shalom. This piece of art ties together the family tree of
Beth Shalom in handwritten gold-leaf lettering, and will be here long after we are gone. $180 per leaf.
The anniversary of your loved ones’ passing, known as a “Yahrzeit” in Yiddish, will be engraved in a bronze plaque on our Yahrzeit Memorial. During the month of their Yahrzeit, their name will be illuminated and special prayers will be said every year. $250 per plaque.
Make a donation to Jewish National Fund and help Congregation Beth Shalom at the same time. To place an order, call Sara Breslow at 732-544-0615 or email to BethShalom186@aol.com. The price for one tree is $18.
