A shul is more than just a synagogue. The word “shul” is Yiddish for a place of prayer and study. Our Shul is all of this PLUS. It is a home for any AND EVERY Jew looking for a warm and spiritual place to grow. Come when you want, for how long you want, or only for the after-services Kiddush! Bring your friend, neighbor or child – EVERYBODY IS WELCOME. With a "come as you are" attitude, you'll feel right at home, and you will be treating your soul to something special. No matter where you live, work or study – or even if you are just passing through the area – if you are looking for a place to express your soul, this Shul's for you.
Walking into our Shul, the first thing you will notice is the people. There are Jews from all walks of life, from all backgrounds and affiliations. You will see smiles, hugs and warm handshakes as people greet each other in a uniquely intimate and relaxed setting. Our Shul’s primary goal is to foster this sense of community, camaraderie and Jewish warmth. We look forward to seeing YOU in our Shul!
JUST JEWISH
A Jew is a Jew. Period. We are ONE people; we have one Torah, and we have one G-d. At our Shul we emphasize the unity amongst the Jewish Community
through our common bond of Jewish faith and observance. We don’t label ourselves, and we don't label others. We are JUST JEWISH.
I am dedicated to helping every Jew, regardless of affiliation or background, increase their level of Jewish knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment. We encourage YOU to participate regardless of your level of observance. Our Shul is not out to make you Orthodox; our goal is to help every Jew increase their knowledge and celebrate his or her Jewishness, each at their own comfort-level.
In no way is the commitment to a religious lifestyle a prerequisite to one's acceptance at our Shul. There are no set criteria, judgments or expectations. Our Hebrew/English prayer books and services are user-friendly, our prayer services are frequently interrupted with insightful commentary and explanations, and page numbers are frequently announced so that everyone has a meaningful experience and feels at ease.
Come and join us and get a taste of what it is like at our Shul. Your soul will thank you.
My wife, Hindy, and I look forward to personally greeting you soon.
